PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE •
AmeriCorps, 2007-2008. “WECARE” Project.
I worked as part of the education and outreach branch of WECARE. WECARE (Working to Enhance the Care and Resources for our Elders) is a collaborative project to address the needs of the growing elderly population in our community by engaging adults 50+ in service to the elderly. It is the intent of the project to develop and implement sustainable systems of care for the elderly that will serve as models for other communities.
•California State University, Fullerton, 2008. Project SHINE Internship.
I completed an internship as an assistant in an English as a Second Language (ESL) classroom.I worked individually and with small groups of lower-level speakers in a total family literacy classroom.
